Soldiers Home Ice Cream Social
In support of the ASUVCW, Major Sullivan Ballou Camp #3 will assist the ladies on 31 July 2011 at the Bristol Soldiers Home, we hope to bring a smile to the faces of the men and women who have fought to defend our country.

 Annual "Governor Sprague Living History"
SUVCW Signature Sesquicentennial Event

Admission is $5.00 for Adults
$3.00 for Veterans, Seniors & Children Under 12

The grounds of the historic Sprague Mansion come to life with the 4th Annual Governor Sprague Living History Weekend. As the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War dawns, join reenactors from all over New England as they recreate an authentic Union Camp. Experience camp life at your leisure and observe ongoing infantry & artillery drills. Don’t miss lectures and demonstrations by reknowned authors & historians, plus special appearences by wartime Governor William Sprague and President Abraham Lincoln, as well as live musical performances and refreshment.

Luminary & Candlelight Tours

Come join the members of Major Sullivan Ballou Camp #3 as we assist the Department of Rhode Island SUVCW & ASUVCW for their second Luminary & Candlelight Tour of the grounds of North Burial Grounds, we will visit the graves of many notiable people and veterans who now call this historic cemetery their home. Learn their stories and experience the night darkness highlighted by over 2000 Candles.
Walk with reenactors in era dress from the 1700's to present day. Revolutionary War, War of 1812, the Alamo, The Mexican War, the American Civil War, the Spanish-American War, WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.
You may even walk back in time into a night battle of the American Civil War.

Located in Ziegler's Grove, east side of Hancock Avenue

SUVCW Remembrance Day Parade
The route of the parade will be as follows; Exiting Lefever Street onto East Confederate Ave. and turning west onto East Middle Street. Upon striking Baltimore Street the parade will turn south and then veer south west onto Steinwehr Ave where it will terminate at the National Park.

Dine with friends from Rhode Island (anyone may attend) enjoy fine, affordable food and drinks, then we will visit the National Cemetery Luminary
